Furniture Restoration Service In Detail
At MillRace Furniture we offer a full repair and restoration service to all our customers.
Every consideration is taken with regards to the age, quality, timber type and condition of the finish of all items.
A careful assessment of all the damage and any work that needs to be done, will be given, with an estimate of the cost involved. A full written quote can be given, as can a time when the item can be booked into our workshop. This is usually days or weeks and a completion date will be agreed.
All finishing is done by hand to your specification and with antique furniture original surfaces are usually left intact and just cleaned and sealed. Our philosophy in regard to true antiques is conservation rather than full restoration and we will discuss this with you at an appointment. We also offer a valuation service.
If you are able to bring your items to our workshop we can usually give you a quotation on the spot. Alternatively we can collect and deliver your items at a nominal charge.
However, you can bring your furniture to our workshops situated in Chelmsford where it will be carefully assessed and an estimate of cost given.
We look forward to meeting you and viewing your furniture for restoration
